This was a thought provoking podcast for memoirists. Thank you! Daphne names some memoirs that she found to be well written. Can you tell us the author of the one she noted with the title, Difficult? The others were: "Are you Somebody" Nuala O'Faolain and "Bad Blood" by Lorna Sage

Was it Difficult Women by Roxanne Gay? I don't recall. I'll try to listen to the podcast and see if I can figure it out. It's been a while since she was on the show so I don't remember. Thanks for listening!

Thanks so much! It was at the very end of the podcast when you asked what wisdom she gives her students. As she spoke about reading a lot, she mentioned these 3 memoirs. I'm fairly certain she said the title was the single word, Difficult, but perhaps she shortened it. She does not name the author.

I just listened to the end and ... I don't know either. I'm going to write to Daphne and ask her. Stay tuned!
